Destiny 2 ESP is extra information drawn on top of the client. Used well, it tells you who is holding a lane. Used poorly, it paints the whole map neon.

Player ESP vs loot ESP
Player ESP shows Guardians, health, and names. Loot ESP and chest ESP mark engrams and chests in PvE. In Trials you want player ESP only. In a Lost Sector farm, loot ESP pays rent.

Distance ESP in PvP
Distance ESP stops you from swinging on someone 80 meters away with a shotgun. Keep max draw distance tight on small Crucible maps so the overlay does not steal your sight picture.
Radar still helps for people outside FOV — that is the radar hack job.
